Cat Cottage Triplex

The Cat Cottage Triplex with Raised Platform and Foundation is the “cat’s pajamas” for multiple cat households. Divided into three separate compartments, this triplex can comfortably house three to six cats, depending on their size. Each unit has a floor size of 20 inches by 19 inches and the “upper apartment” features a lounging ledge (which also serves as a weather shelter for the bottom two door entrances). The round doors come with vinyl flaps installed.

Platform

The Platorm is a perfect accessory for the Cat Cottage Triplex. Raising the Cottage 12 inches off the ground, the platform provides an extra nine square foot area underneath the house, shaded and out of the weather for food and water storage or just a cool place to lay around. The Platform has two upper decks. The front deck is 8″ x 40″ and the rear lounging ledge is 4 1/2″ x 40″….so no matter what time of the day it is, your cats will have at least one shaded deck!

Raised Foundation

The Raised Foundation for the Cat Cottage Triplex is made of full sized frame members (2″ x 3″). The posts and frame members are lifetime pressure treated lumber for ground contact. The decking is rich western red cedar planking which really compliments the beautiful cedar Cat Cottage Triplex. The Raised Foundation is a beautiful addition to the Cat Cottage Triplex.

Blythe Wood Works has spent a great deal of time designing this triplex not only to make it quite functional for cats, but they believe that they have created one of the coolest looking cat houses in the market place. It comes in 5 preassembled panels, predrilled for easy assembly.

Optional Insulation

When selecting this option, know that the entire cat house will be insulated. The LOW-E Reflective Insulation which reduces your carbon footprint, provides great protection from both extreme cold and extreme heat. The LOW-E Reflective Insulation blocks out as much as 93% of the summer heat gain. A lightweight mahogany plywood liner protects the insulation from your pet, ensuring long term durability.

Optional Pet Mat (Non-Heated)

• All pet mats are closed cell, which means that fleas and other pests cannot penetrate their surface and camp out with your pet.
• Blythe Wood Works mats are ergonomically correct, comfortable, and provide great lateral support—a must for older pets with arthritic joints.
• Blythe Wood Works mats are dust free, anti-fungal, have no dyes or colors, and are hypo-allergenic. They are approximately 1 ¼” thick with an R-Value of 75!!
• Completely waterproof, Blythe Wood Works pet mats provide an efficient moisture barrier on a dog or cat house floor, and also serves as an effective birthing mat.

Optional Hard Heated Cat Pad

• 9 inches by 12 inches
• A heated pet pad is absolutely the safest, most reliable and energy efficient method to provide your pet with a comfortable warm environment during the coldest of winters.
• Depending on the pad size, the electricity needed to operate the pad is the same as one light bulb (15 watts). Blythe Wood Works recommend that the heated pet pads not be more than half the floor size of the cat house so that the pet can either get off completely or partially as he chooses. The internal thermostat keeps the temperature at a desirable 102 degrees (Fahrenheit) when in use.
• This cat pad, indoor or outdoor, is a small 9×12 inch pad that beautifully fits in Blythe Wood Works 17″, 20″ or Cat Cottage. It is a hard ABS Plastic pad so as to resist claws and chewing. The first 18 inches of the power cord are steel wrapped for added protection. Most often the pad is covered with your cat’s favorite, thin, open weave blanket or fabric to make the house environment even more enhancing.
• When you purchase a heated pet pad with a house, Blythe Wood Works will prep the house for the electric cord with a bug and moisture resistant hold plug at no charge.
